PREPLANNING
At
the Steff-Mattera Funeral Home, we offer a wide range of
preplanning
options. After discussing particular needs and wishes with each family,
we will give a price quote at today’s prices.
You may want or not want to pre-pay or pre-fund a funeral. If you do
wish to pay for a pre-arranged funeral we offer both insurance and
trust funding and if these are paid in full, we guarantee that there
will be no additional charges to the family, as long as the original
contract is not changed.
Trusting:
Our trust is through the Pennsylvania
Funeral Directors Association, program SecurChoice with PNC Bank,
Trustee, Erie, PA. The Steff-Mattera Funeral Home will not
accept
payment directly for pre-arranged funerals. Under the Pennsylvania
Funeral Directors Law, all monies received by a funeral director are to
be trusted with a banking institution within the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania within 30 days.
Insurance: We offer a variety
of insurance products for individuals.
Under both programs, checks are made out to the respective company.
Under both insurance and trusting, the family will receive a letter
from the appropriate insurance company or SecurChoice informing them
that they have received payment.
If you choose not to totally fund a funeral, then prices will be
subject to the prevailing prices at the time of death.
We offer a pre-planning book "Pre-Planning 101", that is easy to
understand and we will be glad to mail a copy to you if you would
